Firewall Blocking Bridged Network

My VNE has VMNET0 bridged to the physical ethernet connection and my VM has the network adaptor set to use VMNET0.  I have a device attached to the physical port on the host and the IP address of it is 192.168.1.10.

If I try to use ping this IP adderess from the VM, I get no response.  However if I disable ZoneAlarm on my host and ping from inside the VM, I get a response back.

So, I am fairly sure ZoneAlarm is at "fault".

Clearly if I am unable to ping, I cannot communicate with anything either so does anyone have any experience of using Workstation 15 and ZoneAlarm or know what I need to change in ZoneAlarm in order for bridged networking to work?
