I have workstation pro 15 running on ubuntu and win 7 guest which always asks to install vmtools. Is there a process or fix to correct this?

I have installed workstation pro 15 on ubuntu 18.04 running mate desktop.

Inside I run a win7 enterprise vm.  Each time I open the vm it asks to install the vmtools package.

It seems to ignore the fact that it has already been installed.

Have tried to remove then re-install but keep getting the same request; install vmtools in the vm.

does anyone have a fix  for this?
