For Linked Clones you edit the pool to select the only the new storage. You then perform a rebalance on the pool
This part does destroy the linked clones in the process, only rebalance these if you using some method of persisting users data and applications if necessary. I made this mistake once of creating a linked clone pool, and had to manually clone each for them once I found you couldn't move them intact.
